The Weaponized Einstein-Rosen Bridge System ("WERBS") is an extremely powerful military weapon developed by humans. It functions by combining a minigun with the simultaneous space-time distortions of both a Jump Drive and a Warp Drive.
A WERBS wormhole annihilates all traversing matter, converting it entirely to energy. Firing conventional ammunition into a WERBS wormhole will result in each round being converted into the equivalent of a large thermonuclear bomb. Because the exit of a very small wormhole can be placed reasonably accurately without the use of a beacon, WERBS can be used to blanket a large region of space in nuclear hell.
WERBS was first used in Chapter 40: War on Two Worlds - Part 4: Retaliation to repel the Swarm of Swarms as it approached Gao.
